Thomas M. Pike age 86, of Laurel passed away January 16, 2021. He was born April 15, 1934 to Marion and (Milburn) Pike. Tom grew up and attended school in Bath, Pennsylvania.
Tom joined the United States Air Force in 1954. It was when he was stationed at RAF Sculthorpe in England that he met and married Shirley on April 24, 1957. Tom’s final duty station was at Logan International Airport detachment in Billings, where they made their home and raised their 4 children.
Tom made a career as an over the road truck driver and worked for many tanker and freight companies. He retired from Sweetheart Bakery in 1996. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #123, loved fishing and family gatherings. Tom loved a good joke and had an infectious laugh that made everyone smile. He never met a stranger and could find something in common with everyone he spoke to.
Tom is survived by his wife Shirley; son Tom “Michael” (Shay) Pike of Bozeman, daughters Karen (Joel) Barnhart of Laurel, Lisa (Brad) Harris of Billings, daughter in-law Joyce Pike of Billings, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by son David Pike and grandson Derick Pike.
Military Honors and internment in the National Veterans Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
