Steve Sande Obituary

Steve Sande was born on December 10, 1950, to Charles and Lois Sande in Billings. Steve was a protective brother to Ken Sande and Sunny Murray. He graduated from Billings West High School in 1969, and went on to earn degrees in aviation and law. He worked as an attorney in Glendive, Hardin and Billings, but found his favorite calling when he bought Land Title Services in Lewistown. Steve married his beloved wife and best friend Lori in 1988, and they spent the next 25 years raising children and horses in the Lewistown area. After Steve's retirement in 2006, they moved south of Molt, enjoying time with their family and horses. Steve made friends easily and loved chatting with them over an early cup of coffee at a local cafAC.. Steve is survived by his wife Lori and three children he adored, Kristen (Steve) Schwark of Austin, Texas, Mike (Rachel)Goodwin of Lewistown and Allison (Scott) Zemke of Billings; seven grandchildren, Aiden, Nolen and Coen Schwark, Allie, Gracie and Chance Zemke, and Austin Goodwin. Steve had a deep, life-long love for God, and was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. These are Steve's life's stats. And they are impressive accomplishments. He was smarter than most, he worked harder than most, and he was very successful by the worlds standards. The most impressive thing is Steve valued, pursued and truly enjoyed the things that God defines as success. Steve moved forward in Gods strength when he was weak. He came along side of so many people making their lives better just because he called, went out to coffee, provided physical labor and he prayed for you and me. You wouldn't even know he was holding you up because he never drew attention to his work or his life. He enjoyed the simple life: the family cabin, the dirt, the rain, the majesty of the storms and the mountains. He loved horses, dogs and people. In lieu of flowers or donations, Steve would like nothing more than for you to take the time to call that friend or family member and just see how they are doing. Go and visit. Take them for a drive, take them for coffee. Just stop and stand beside that person that needs your time. Memorial Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday October 30, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Laurel.
