Shirley Seymour Obituary

Shirley Ann Seymour was born December 28, 1939 to Robert Elmer and Ida Margaret (Weber) Brown in Cambridge, Nebraska, where she also spent her school days. In Cambridge she met the love of her life, Clifford Charles Seymour, and they were married April 15, 1956. Together they had four sons and a daughter. After starting their family in Cambridge, they moved to Billings in 1962, where they had son number four. While in Billings, Shirley spent her days caring for her family and being a homemaker. She was active in all of her children's activities, such as Little League Baseball, Cub Scouts, and PTA. Shirley also sold Tupperware in her spare time. In 1974, she and her family moved to Park CIty to enjoy the country setting. In 1979 they built and managed the Kwik Stop. While in Park City she was active in Garden Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Church. She also worked for the Park City Sewer Department. Shirley enjoyed camping, playing cards, sewing, crocheting, family get-togethers, family reunions, and the occasional trip to Deadwood, South Dakota. There are many fond memories of these special times spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. On February 23, 2010, Shirley joined her husband, daughter, sisters, brother and other close friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff; her parents, Bob and Ida; daughter Linda; brother Bob; sisters Marge and Martha. Shirley is survived by her sister Evelyn Wagner; sons, Rich (Nancy), Ron (Janet), Russ and Randy (Val); grandchildren Jeff (Robin), Jon (Heidi), Tim (Jessica), Teri Ann, Jared (Chelsi), Kenny (Sari), Robbie and Anthony; great-grandchildren Aubrey, Austin, Evan, Eastan, Carli, Mason, Kyah, and two step great grandchildren Paige and Logan. She will be greatly missed here on earth. A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held at the Park City Civic Center 1:00pm Saturday March 6, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to the Park City United Methodist Church.
