Our loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Sally Jane Laird, 73, of Billings, became an angel on December 29, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born July 19, 1937 to Adam and Katherine (Knaub) Schreiner in Laurel, Montana. Sally grew-up on the famly farm and graduated from Park City High School in 1955. She met Roy Laird who was on leave from the Navy at a dance in Roscoe. He proposed to her in a letter and six months later they were married on October 25, 1958 at the Congregational Church in Laurel. Together they raised three boys, David, Danny, and Robb. The family livid in Missoula form 1974 until 1981 before making Billings their home. Sally was a people person and worked as a CNA at Western manor for many years. She loved to read romance novels and she collected over 800 bells. She liked dolphins and was a Miami Dolphins fan. Family was very important to Sally and she loved her grandchildren and cherished each one. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and a baby brother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Roy; children Dave (Tonie) Laird, Danny Laird and Robb (Lisa) Laird; a brother James (Arlene) Schreiner; sister Darlene (Larry) Walks; grandchildren Kassie, Kristy, Katie, Kody, Kaycee, Molly, Meghan, Nickolaus, and Merrie. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Sally's life will be held 2:00 PM Monday January 3, 2011 at the New Life Four Square Church in Laurel.
Sweetie, I will love you forever, Roy. Mom, Thanks for being our rock, we love you. The boys. Grandma Sally, Thanks for always being there for us. You were one of a kind and we love and miss you so much. The grandkids.
