Russell Anthony Storey age 76 of Laurel, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by his loved ones on July 19 2023. Russell was born on January 13 1947 in New Britain, Connecticut to Anthony Frank Storey and Alma Emily [Miller] Storey. Russell grew up in Connecticut then moved to Montana for college where he studied music and gained his love for singing. After college he moved to Browning, Montana to become a music teacher. He met the love of his life Patsy Lee Berezay while fellowshipping with Church members. They were then married in the Cardston, Alberta Temple on May 2 1981. In 1985, their dreams of a family came true when they adopted 3 beautiful children who became there world. James Michael, Donna Rae, and Patricia Ann. As life began and time went on they moved to Cutbank where they raised their children as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Family was very involved their church family and grew to love the little Branch’s of Browning and Cut Bank. In 1999, they ended up settling in Laurel . Russ spent a lot of his time taking care of his family especially Donna. Russell always loved helping others when he could. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Patsy, his wonderful children, family, friends and especially the missionaries. He was always willing to take the time to write a letter of inspiration to some one in need or giving clip on ties to the children at his church or bringing soda station to his daughters and coworkers while they where working. He had a way of making everyone feel special when he was around. He was always ready and willing to bare testimony of his love for the Savior Jesus Christ and loved to share the Gospel. He truly believed that families are forever In his spare time he enjoyed giving his family a hard time and was always trying to find the cheapest deal on eBay. His favorite quote became “when I’m cremated they better give me 50% off” ...after he had both leg amputated. He was always ready to speak his truth. You always knew where you stood with Russell. And he always gave the best hugs. The thing that brought Russ the most joy was his 4 grandchildren he couldn’t get enough of them and each one of them held a special place in his heart for very different reasons if you ever looked up the “World’s Best Grandpa” you will find his smiling picture. He is proceeded in death by his wife Patsy of 42 years, his father Anthony Frank Storey and mother Alma Emily [Miller] Storey, 2 brother in laws - Bobby Felton and Donald Berezey, and other loved ones. He leaves behind his 3 children James (Jolene) Storey of Billings, Donna Sto-rey of Laurel, and Patricia Ann(Clair) Moore of Laurel and a special daughter in law Wendy Storey of Kalispel. His grandchildren Athena and Aidian Storey of Kalispel, and Maddy and Matthew Moore of Laurel. His 3 sisters, Arlene Felton of Tennessee, Carol (Bill) Gradchuk of Connecticut, and Charolette Storey of Connecticut and numerous nieces and nephews and in laws. He will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Friday July 28th at the LDS church in Laurel at 11:00 am. There will be a pot luck after for anyone that would like to stay and visit.
