Rosemary "Rosie" Caton, 83, of Laurel, died Friday September 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was born January 31, 1940 to Alex "Lefty" and Emma (Michaelis) Frank, [both German, from Russia,], in Billings. Rosie lived her entire life in Laurel.
Her father was injured in an accident on the Railroad and Rosie worked at the Dutch Mill, the Mill Drive in and the A&W Drive in to help her mother support the family. The highlight of her work in later years was owning and operating Nature's Corner Flower Shop.
Rosie married William Gene Caton on February 1, 1958, while in her senior year at Laurel High School. Bill and Rosie celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past February 1, 2023. 'and they said it would never last!
Together they raised two children, William Gene (Valerie) Caton Jr. and Wendy Sue Caton, grandson Steven Frank (Lora) Caton, great-grandchildren Travis, Conrad, Katherine and Morgan.. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Rueben. Left to cherish Rosie's memory is her husband Bill; her two children; a grandson and Great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Friday September 22, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Laurel.
