Ronald Marshall Obituary

Ron Marshall, 66, of Laurel, died Tuesday March 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 5, 1947 to Allan and Edna (Fowler) Marshall in Billings. He married Cheryl in 1978 and to that union he became dad to three children, making their home in Laurel, and later divorcing. Ron later remarried Ranae Rous on October 14, 1994 and became a much loved and respected dad to four more children! He was elected Laurel City Alderman and served in that position for eight years. Ron worked for Interstate Brands Corp (Sweetheart Bread) for 25 years as a route salesman and later as a supervisior. In 2000, Ron began over-the-road trucking and spent the last ten years of his career driving for FedEx contractors, officially retiring in 2010. He loved nothing more than attending his grandchildren's events. He also cherished camping with his wife and the dogs. Each man hopes to leave a legacy. Ron's legacy is that he was an amazing husband, father,and grandfather who earned the respect and love of his entire family and everyone around him. Ron is survived by his wife, Ranae; children Cinthia Post, Blake (Brenda) Marshall, Pam Cullen, Tonya (Bret) Christensen, Joe Broere, Letha (Travis) McDowell and Sara (Justin) Romero; a brother Jerry (Judy) Marshall; special sisiters Shirley Hanson, Mavis Lissa, Hazel Hanson, Jan McGrath and Dixie Starkovich; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday march 19, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Laurel
