Phillipa Rushton Wright, 91, died Thursday June 4, 2009 at Billings Health and Rehabilitation in Billings. Phil was born August 27, 1917, the youngest daughter of John and Barbara (Moyle) Rushton in Iona, Idaho. She met Boyd P. Wright on a blind date while she was working for the Social Security System in Lewiston, Idaho. They were married on September 23, 1939 in Idaho Falls. The couple lived in Dubois for many years and all of their children were born in Dubois. The family spent summers on the ranch at Snowline, Montana where Phillipa helped her mother cook for the large hay crews. Phil, as she was known, worked for several banks in the Idaho Falls area and also for the Idaho Falls Chamber. She laughed that she had retired three or four times! Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Earlene (Ed) Davis of Billings and Barbara (John) Parker of Missoula; 5 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 sons; 3 sisters and a brother. Cremation has taken place. Graveside Memorial Services will be held later this summer at the Iona Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
