Phillip Sprague Obituary

Phillip M. Sprague, 70, passed away on July 3, 2016, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, MT after a short battle with cancer.

Phillip was born November 25, 1945, in Kansas City, KS, to Edna and Everett Sprague. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1963 and began working at Deluxe Check Printers shortly before beginning his three year service in the Navy. During his service he was stationed in Spain and Norway. He returned to Deluxe and transferred to Billings, MT in 1970 where raised his 3 children in the Billings/Laurel area. He retired from Deluxe in 1993 after 30 years when the Billings plant closed down. He worked at Edward Jones in Laurel for a few years and then began working at the Laurel Wal-Mart in the sporting good section. He enjoyed and appreciated his co-workers. His work ethic couldn't be beat.

Phil enjoyed movies, watching the news, drinking coffee, walking the dogs with his daughters and spending time with his family.

Phil is survived by his wife of 11 years Georgia and 3 daughters Linda Lamb, Kristine Kerr and Tanya (Matt) Steinberger-Sprague. Grandchildren Valerie Kerr, Kaitlyn Kerr, Kellsie Gust and Brandon Lamb, and 4 great-grandchildren, brother Richard (Cecil) Sprague, step-daughters, Tanya Trumbo and Tara Thrall.
