Nickolas "Nick" Branger 53, of Billings passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord from his home early February 29, 2008 after bravely facing the complications of diabetes from early childhood.
Nick was born in Red Lodge to John and Betty (O'Shea) Branger Jr. on June 18, 1954. He was raised on the family ranch near Roscoe, and later moved to Ennis and Livingston. It was on the ranch he learned the hard work ethic, the love of nature and animals. He attended school in Roscoe, Red Lodge and Ennis. Nick graduated from Park County High School in Livingston in 1972 at the age of 17. He was an honor roll student.
Until his health failed, Nick excelled in different jobs. He especially enjoyed hunting with his many friends. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his large family and friends for his quick wit, keen intelligence and compassion for people. Nick enjoyed learning, especially the study of Scripture. His deep personal faith and love for the Lord Jesus brought him great peace. Nick was a member of the West Side Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his two sons, Chris and Jesse Branger; siblings: John III (Lori) Branger. Bennie (Gary) Clark, and Duane (Mary) Branger; nephews and nieces: Eric, Amy and Patrick Branger, Jennifer, David Clark, and one special friend.
