Margaret (Peggy) Elizabeth Stoltz passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2024 after a year and a half battle with cancer. She fought up until the end, while still maintaining her positive attitude and her infectious smile. Her absence will leave a tremendous void her family will never be able to fill.
Peggy was born on March 25, 1944 to Virginia and Phillip Bradley in Lewistown, Montana. She was the third of seven children. She grew up on the family ranch in Garneill, Montana. After graduating High School in Judith Gap, she attended Rocky Mountain College earning her degree in Elementary Education. From there she taught in Lewistown, Seattle and Las Vegas, before ending up in Billings. She taught for Billings Public Schools for 35 years (40 years of teaching altogether). Peggy loved teaching kids to read and write. She touched many young lives throughout her years in the classroom. During her time in Billings, she met and married Robert (Bob) Stoltz. From this union, they were blessed with a son, Les and daughter, Bobbi. After marriage, they moved and settled in Laurel, Montana, where they made a great life together. They made friends wherever they went. During her years teaching, she was also famous for her delicious cakes that she made for team events, birthdays, graduation, and even weddings. She also worked at Sears in the evenings for several years. Following retirement, Peg and Bob got part time jobs at the Laurel Walmart as door greeters. It was the perfect job for the two of them, which they did for 7 years.
Peggy’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. She always said that they made life worth living and she wouldn’t know what she would do without them. She enjoyed attending their sporting events more than anything and she was always their biggest fan even if she didn’t really understand what was going on most of the time. She was definitely the best grandma that anyone could have. She recently found out that she was also going to be a great grandmother and that thrilled her to pieces.
When Peggy wasn’t with her daughter or grandchildren, you could find her socializing with friends and family. She loved meeting for coffee at the local shops or her sister’s house, going out for meals with friends, attending family reunions, getting her fingernails done, or helping at her church. She was always up for visiting and could do it for hours. She was definitely a social butterfly. Peggy was truly the kindest soul anyone could ever meet. She saw the good in everyone and always went out of her way to be friendly. Her love for life, her friends and her family was endless.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stoltz, son, Les Stoltz, Brothers; John and Bill Bradley, and her parents, Virginia and Phillip Bradley, brother-in-law, George Powell, nephew, Wyatt Powell and sister-in-law, Kim Bradley.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Bobbi (Aaron) Poser, grandchildren; Chase Stoltz, Alex (Emily) Poser, Preston Poser and Elly Poser, siblings; Ann Powell, Russ (Kellee) Bradley, Becky (Bob) Tidwell, and Jane (Dwayne) Hart, sister-in-law, Linda (Robert) Spencer, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends that she considered family.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see my mom over the last couple of weeks, it was very meaningful to her and she was always excited to tell me who stopped by. A very special thanks to my Aunt Jane and Betty Mosby, I could not have made it through the last 3 weeks without your help, I can never thank you enough for everything that you did. The love everyone showed for my mom was incredible, she was so grateful for the time she got with each of you.
