Lola Gutierrez

Maria Aurora Gutierrez (Lola) age 91 of Gallup, New Mexico passed on the 29th day of March, 2016 surrounded by her family in Billings, Montana. Lola grew up in Socorro, NM and was raised by Rueben and Genovia Gutierrez. After graduating high school Lola has always been involved in the community, holding a few jobs until finally finding her passion at the jewelry counter inside JcPenny's, until retirement more than 20 years later. Lola was a very caring, kind hearted person and gave all she could without asking for anything in return. She always preached to be kind to others and do what you can, while you can. Lola was the photographer of the family and never left without her camera, snapping shots of everything and everyone that meant something in her life. She really enjoyed the simple things in life, watching TV game shows, Westerns and was always reading. When she wasn't doing that she enjoyed the outdoors with her family watching baseball games and eating hot dogs. Lola was a very active member of her church, Maran-ATA in Gamerco, NM. While living in Billings, Lola got to attend church in Gamerco, thanks to technology and Facetime. Lola, the eldest of 7 children is survived by one sister, Vivian Silva of Billings. Lola was greatly loved by all her nephews and nieces who were all here with her until the end. She will be missed by all her family in NM, CA, MT and AZ. Cremation has taken place and a Service will be held at a later date in NM. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
