Leo Stepper. 83, a long time Park City resident went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013 in Columbus following a long and difficult battle with Parkinson's Disease. Leo was born between Hazen and Orlando, Montana at the home of a mid-wife. Most of his younger years were spent in and around Terry. Leo served in the United States Army from 1951 - 1953 where he was honorable discharged. He also married Marge Solle in 1953 and together they had four children. Leo moved his family to Park City, Montana where he owned and operated the Park City Locker and Mercantile;"Park City Merc". He served on many service organizations and boards for over 50 years in the Stillwater County area and was dependable supporter of Park City Sports activities, especially football. Leo married Edna Jansma on May 27, 1983 on top of the Rimrocks near Park City. His favorite past times included bowling, home town games, dancing with Edna and visiting with his many friends. Leo once joked that he was going to live until he was a 102 and be shot by a jealous husband! Mr. Stepper was a respected member of his community as well as a role model to the younger generations. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Edna; children Duran (Rita) Stepper, Noel (Patrick) Anderson, Jim Stepper, Alita (Kevin) Kinney & Marla (Tom) Adams and Mark (Jodie) Jansma; Sisters Deloria Polivka, Ruth Bodin, Bernice Watson and Evelyn Violet; brothers Walter Stepper and Bob Stepper; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00am - 8:00pm Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Saturday February 2, 2013 at Faith Chapel Four Square Church located on Broadwater and Shiloh Road, Billings. Interment with military Honors will directly follow at the Park CIty Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Leo's name to the Park City Ambulance.
