L'Dean Hansen

L'Dean Hansen, 70, of Fromberg, died June 6, 2012 at her home. She was born December 29, 1941 in Butte, Montana to Charles and Vivian (Picture) Bridges. L'Dean grew up in Twin Bridges, graduating from Twin Bridges High School. She married James Bassinger October 16, 1964; together they had a son Jesse. L'Dean married Charles Hansen December 26, 1969 in Butte. To this union Sandra Ellen Hansen was born. Charles was stationed in Hawaii for three years while serving in the United States Marine Corps. They returned to Montana in February 1971, the family settled in Billings. L'Dean was dedicated to her husband and her family. She unselfishly took care of all of us. Though life was not always easy for L'Dean, she loved life and definitely could stand up to anyone! She loved sewing, gardening; petunia's were her favorite, and was a great cook. Family dinners were her way of sharing her love with us. She worked at Tiny's, Eva's Cafe and later the Kit Kat Cafe until it was closed. She retired to care for her mother Vivian and returned to a homemaker. Mom always had cats; they were her four legged children. L'Dean and Charles bought their home in Fromberg in 2008. She was able to take care of some of her flowers and the rest of the yard; "guiding" us in how she wanted it done. L'Dean said to family several weeks before her passing, "if you can't remember me with a smile, don't remember me at all..." A Celebration of L'Dean's life will be held at 11:00am Tuesday June 12, 2012 at the Remington Letcher Chapel in Laurel.
