Kim Elizabeth Ryder, 57, of Laurel, passed away Friday April 10, 2026. She was born September 28, 1968 to Robert L. and Rita (Wagner) Ryder in Billings. She attended school in Laurel and graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1990. Kim was a beautiful, Pixie-like, person who lived all her life with her parents. She led a long and joyous life for a person with Down syndrome, spending many years thriving, and building a vast video and music collection. She gave 10 years’ service working part-time at Kelly Inn in Billings and later attended Job Connection and The Real in Laurel. Kim will be missed and forever loved by her family and all who met her.
Left to cherish Kim’s memory are her parents; Brother Todd Ryder; a special aunt and many cousins.
A Rosary Service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday April 21, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Laurel, Montana with a Memorial Mass Wednesday April 22, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s with the Reverend Father Jose Marquez officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Kim’s name to Special Olympics.
