Kenneth Lyn Britton, 73, of Absarokee, died peacefully Wednesday October 18, 2023 at his home with his loving wife at his side.  Ken was born July 19, 1950 in Billings, Montana to Eugene and Mary “Laurine” (Madsen) Britton.  He was raised and attended school in Park City, graduating in 1968 from Park City High School.  Ken worked for the Railroad in Laurel until an injury forced him to retire from service.

 In 1999, he married Jan Loughridge in Las Vegas, Nevada at the home of Jan’s brother, together they celebrated 23 years of marriage.  Ken enjoyed visiting with his friends, helping his neighbors and moving cattle either by horseback or ATV.  On one occasion Ken and Jan had been riding horses in the mountains near Nye when they discovered a moose and its calf right on the other side of a grouping of trees!  Ken will be remembered for his easy manor, willingness to help others and his love for family and friends alike. 

Left to cherish Ken’s memory is his wife Jan Britton; brothers Don (Sherry) Britton, Orville (Norma) Britton; a daughter Jessica (Brian) Fosjord; grandchildren Ava, Maddie and Evelynn along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

 Graveside Services will be 1:00 pm Friday October 27, 2023 at the Nye Cemetery followed by a reception immediately following at the Fishtail Community Center.
