Kathryn Lee Fochs died on December 20, 2007 at home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathi was born to Donald and Mildred (Fadness) Chouinard on July 17, 1951 in Glendive. Kathi attended school in Glendive and graduated from DCHS in 1970. She received her BA in Nursing from Miles Community College and was employed by Billings Health and Rehabilitation at the time of her death.
Kathryn was a published poet and loved all kinds of arts and crafts. She also loved spending time with her two grandchildren, Colton and Brandon.
Kathi is survived by her 4 children, Matthew and Ember Fochs of Billings, Daniel Fochs of Bozeman, and Heidi (Scott) Basiak of Bismarck, North Dakota. Her brothers: Roger (Bonnie) Chouinard of Shoreline WA, Rodney (Becky) Chouinard of Glendive MT and Sisters: Carol Hanson of Scobey, Marlys (LeRoy) Rathbun, Nancy (Gaylen) Schipman, Mary (Kip) Braden, Becky Tipton, Wendy (Bill) Millspaugh, and long time family friend Linda (Taffy) Tafelmeyer. Kathi was preceded in death by her father Donald Chouinard in June 1998.
Memorials to charity of your choice and memorial service at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Avenue at 1:00 PM on Saturday December 22. A memorial service will be held in Glendive at Zion Lutheran Church at a later date.
