Katherine A. Weninger

Katherine Weninger, 85, of Laurel, died June 25, 2014. She was born June 16, 1929 in Drake, North Dakota to Frank and Marie (Schiele) Kambeitz. Katherine married Frank Weninger August 28, 1947, they lived in North Dakota and Nebraska before moving to Montana. Katherine loved Montana, spending many years in Big Timber and later in Bozeman. Following the death of her husband, Katherine returned to North Dakota to help her parents. She worked as a CNA at Pioneer Nursing Home in Big Timber, and later the Carrington Nursing Home retiring in 1980. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Wayne (Karen) of Clancy, Larry (Roberta) of Laurel; grandchildren Kara, Joni, Carrie, Michael, Cory and Noah; 14 grandchildren; a sister Maggie Blumhagen of Laurel; brother Albert of West Virginia and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, a brother Mike, sisters Phyllis, Irene, and Marie. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care they gave to Katherine. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday July 2, 2014 at Laurel United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Cemetery in Bozeman.
