Karen Bransetter Pierce Obituary
Karen Branstetter Pierce Our beautiful, loving mom and the best grandma in the world joined her family in heaven early Tuesday morning May 6, 2008. Karen was the last surviving child of Paul and Dorothy Branstetter. Karen was born July 23, 1943 and grew up in Laurel with her three brothers Jim, Danny and Louie and her sister Donna.
Karen was a talented artist, who enjoyed crocheting, reading and loved her candy. Grandma treasured kicking butt in late night Nintendo challenges and snacking on homemade goodies. She was always excited about her next poker night in Laurel and taking "the boys" money in home games. With spring approaching, mushroom hunting was her passion. These legacies will live on through all of us, along with her acceptance, generous heart and strong will.
Karen is survived by her daughters Jamie, Lisa, Susan and her favorite daughter Barb; Grandchildren Zeth (Dana), Stasha, Sarah, and Saige; Great-grandchildren Quincy and Drace. Karen has many surviving relatives who love her very much. Private graveside services will be held on May 17, 2008 at Columbus Cemetery at 2:00PM
Per Karen's request, a potluck celebration of her life will be held at 3:00PM at Lolita's, 1911 King Avenue West, on May 19,2008. Grams we are going to miss ya and Mom thank you for everything! We love you very much
