June E. Moran

June E. Moran, 90, formerly of Columbus, Montana died June 20, 2010 at her home in Billings. June and her twin brother were born September 24, 1919 to Wayne and FLorence (McLatchy) Swigart in Cart Wright, North Dakota. After graduating from Sidney High School in 1937, June attended college in Bozeman to earn her Teaching Certificate. She married Chet Moran September 18, 1943. Following his discharge from the United States Army, they moved from Sidney to Red Lodge, Montana where they farmed and operated the City Dairy. June taught school in Fox, Reed Point, Luther and various country schools in the area. They later moved to Columbus where they owned the Air Bowl Lanes for 40 years. Left to cherish June's memory are her children Dwain "Butch" (Jean) Moran, Marjorie Oliver and Kate Brush; two granddaughters, seven great granchildren and three great-great granddaughters. Memorial Services will be held 1:00PM Saturday June 26, 2010 at the Columbus Senior Center. Interment will be 1:00PM Monday June 28, 2010 in Sidney, Montana.
