Julie Marie Brown passed away on November 7th, 2024 at St. John’s United in Billings, following a brief battle with cancer. Julie was born in Delta, Colorado and was the 4th child of Richard and Joan (Bolinger) Queen.
Julie grew up in Hotchkiss, Colorado alongside her sister and two brothers where she graduated from Hotchkiss High School in 1976. She then graduated with an Associate’s of Arts degree in Business from Mesa State College in 1979 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Throughout her life, Julie was unwavering in her dedication to her family. A loving mother and grandma, she cherished every moment spent with loved ones, ensuring that her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless support. Julie gave birth to two wonderful girls, Jessica and Nicole whom she raised in Paonia, Colorado. The girls were the center of her world. Julie was later blessed with two grandchildren, Esther and Peyton whom she spent as much time as possible with.
Julie enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, and was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. She loved watching her grandchildren and seeing them grow. She was proud to be able to vote one last time.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Joan Queen. Julie is survived by her daughters Jessica Graesser of Laurel., Nicole Milner and husband Mark of Paonia, Colorado; grandkids Esther Graesser and Peyton Armstrong; siblings Rick Queen of Ignacio, Colorado, Terrea Bear and husband Bill of Paonia, Colorado, and brother Mark and wife Elaine of Hotchkiss, Colorado; as well as 16 nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services for Julie will be officiated by Mike West and will be held at 11:00 am, on November 30, 2024 at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss, Colorado.
