Judy Ungefucht Obituary

Judith Ann “Judy” Ungefucht went peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 9, following an illness. She was surrounded by love, with her daughter and son by her side, and comforted by the presence of her brother, sister-in-law, and dear friends.

Judy was born on March 8, 1944, in Billings, Montana, to Henry and Lois Kaiser. She was raised in Laurel, Montana, where she built lifelong friendships and graduated from Laurel High School in 1963.

In 1961, Judy met and married Eberhardt “Ed” Ungefucht in Columbus, Montana. Together they shared many years of marriage and raised three children: Traci Dee, Scott Brian, and Cortney Greer. Judy was the heart of her family—an amazing wife, mother, and later a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.

She found great joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments: traveling, summer camping trips, boating, and making lasting memories with her family. Judy loved gardening and planting flowers, always finding peace and happiness in tending to what she grew. A gifted cook, she showed her love through her meals, her home, and her care for others.

Judy worked for many years at Clowntown and Le Boutique in the Rimrock Mall, where she formed many friendships. She also had a creative spirit and was known for her crafting skills, especially her beautiful handmade flower arrangements.

Above all, Judy had a strong and beautiful relationship with Jesus Christ, her Savior. Her faith was a source of strength throughout her life, and she now rejoices in Heaven with loved ones who went before her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lois Kaiser; her beloved husband, Ed Ungefucht; her daughter, Traci Grady; and her grandchildren Colton, Clay, Christopher, and McKenzie Grady.

She is survived by her daughter Cortney Ruth, and her son Scott Ungefucht of Laurel, Montana; her granddaughter Lacey Grady; great-grandsons Logan, Colin, Gavin, and Hanley Grady; and her great-great-grandson Princeton Grady, all of Topeka, Kansas.

Judy will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, her creativity, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Memorial donations may be made in Judy’s honor to the Montana Rescue Mission.
