John Talbert Letcher

John Talbert Letcher, 80,  of Laurel died July 5, 2023 in Billings.  He was born May 25, 1943 to Talbert and Phyllis (Bowser) Letcher in Florida.  He was preceded in death by his wife Lovina Kae Dipo and 1 great grandchild.  He is survived by his children Val Letcher (Amy), Monte Letcher (Mysti), and Sonja O’Connell (John) and 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was a Teamster’s Union member and shop steward.  He drove semi-truck for PIE and numerous other trucking companies. He had 3 million miles of safe driving throughout his career.  In “retirement” he delivered caskets for Medallion Distributing.  He loved hunting, target and trap shooting.  He was proud of his Montana State Games medals and trap shooting competition wins.  He was genuinely proud of never being wrong.

A family graveside committal service will be 10:00 am Friday July 7, 2023 at Laurel Cemetery
