Jack E. Goggins passed away peacefully in the circle of his family on 9 May 2016. Our dad and Grandpa was born on 22 November 1922 in Lewistown, son of John E. Goggins and Pearl (Cook) Goggins. He was raised on the family farm. Apart from a brief stay in California during the depression, he grew up in the Bridger/Fromberg area, graduating from Fromberg High School. On 28 October 1948 in St. Anthony's Parish in Laurel he married Mary Ellen Visser. Together they raised 5 children. He was a successful rancher, farmer, and breeder of thoroughbred horses; his great passion. The family lived on the Bearcreek Ranch in Wyoming in the early years, followed by 20 years in Laurel. He then ranched in Wyoming from 1977 until 1991, returning to Molt to "retire" (not in his vocabulary). Preceding him in death are his wife Mary Ellen, his parents, his brothers Don, Ralph, George and Pat, his baby sister Jane and his first granddaughter Ali. He is survived by his brother Bob, his children Jeff, Julie, Riley, Tracy and Tim, his grandchildren Aaron, Max, Juliana and Matthew and great-granddaughter Bella. He was happiest when working, tending his potato patch, surrounded by his family, watching his horses run, smiling as the sun rose and set over his ranch. He is now where he belongs, together with his Maker and his wife, standing in the winners' circle. Arrangements are being made by Remington Letcher. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on 12 May at 10:00.
