Jason Andrew Torres

Jason Andrew Torres, 33, formerly of Spearfish, South Dakota died November 2, 2007 in Eugene, Oregon. Mr. Torres graduated from high school in Sioux Falls and later attended college at Black Hills State University. Shortly after he started school he met the love of his life, Andres and was married and they were later blessed with daughter Matty Nicole. The fall of 1997 Jason joined the staff at the Fidler Funeral Chapels of Spearfish, Sundance, and Lead shortly after Raymond Fidler's passing in November. He was a dependable, up-beat and diligent worker in every aspect of his duties. In the summer of 1998 Jason's son, Brodie Andrew Torres, was born and joined the family in the house across from the chapel.

Jason later graduated from college in California, majoring in Mortuary Sciences and successfully passing the National Board Examinations. The couple moved to Oregon in 2000 and later divorced.

Jason will be remembered as a man whose conduct proceeded from goodwill and a sense of honor. Left to celebrate Jason's life are his children, grandfather and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandmother. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery following cremation.
