James Earl Rector

James Bud Earl Rector was born in Billings MT on March 27, 1956 to Junior M and Norma B, Rector. Bud was raised in Billings and served in the Army from 1979 to 1985. He traveled in the military to Europe and Japan. While overseas, Bud got the travel bug that never was cured. After the military, he traveled extensively throughout the US by hitchhiking. When the international travel bug came Bud traveled to South America and Asia. Bud loved the third world countries and the difference he was able to make in the people's lives that he met. He met his wife, Razel in the Phillipines and said "You are coming home with me!" They came to the US in Feb. 2014 where they were married and traveled the US for their honeymoon. Bud was diagnosed with cancer in Sept. 2014. He was with his family until he went home to Jesus. He died in his home on November 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Razel (Bebay) Rector, 4 step-children; daughters, Terez Smith and Zoie Rector; son, Drew Rector; grandchildren Travis Lowery and Drew Rector Jr; sisters Pam (Paul) McKeen and Candy Evans; Marsha (Ed)Farnes; nieces, Angel (6 children), Beth Ann (3 children), Shelly (1 child), nephews Jason (3 children) and Jimmy (3 children). He is also survived by numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Monroe and Norma Smith Rector. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. November 21, 2015 at Word of Life 1737 King Avenue Billings, MT.
