Frank Buechler Obituary

Frank Buechler was born in Hague, ND on June 23, 1925. He died October 7, 2015 at the Riverstone Hospice House. Frank enjoyed working in his yard, his garden, canning salsa and his famous pickles. Frank was a tire man, spending 20 years at Nu-tread Tire in Billings and then Ernie's Southway in Billings. Frank retired from the tire business in the late 70's, but you couldn't pull into his yard without him checking your tires. Frank worked various odd jobs, from farming, to wood cutting, to swamping out The Little Cowboy Bar for years. Frank was always making a deal of some kind and he always got the best end of the deal. (even if he didn't).

Frank married Darlene Richardson and had two children, Michael and Elizabeth. He had 6 grandkids, 1 great grandkid, 4 step grandkids and 4 great step grandkids. Frank, his brothers, sisters, mom and dad all moved to Montana when Frank was young. They did farm work before Frank went to WWII where he was an ambulance driver. Frank's parents and siblings preceded him in death except his sister Virginia Cox, his only surviving sister.

On Friday, October 16, Frank will be honored with Military Honors at the Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel at 10 am. On Saturday October 17 there will be a social gathering at Frank's house in Fromberg at 1 pm. with chocolate pie, coffee, and stories about Frank. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clarks Fork Ambulance of Bridger and Riverstone Hospice House.
