Elmer Branstetter passed away December 18, 2013 on the family farm he was born on 88 years ago. He was the son of William Clay and Annie (Nagel) Branstetter. He was a graduate of Laurel High School. Elmer served in the Army Air Corps (United States Air Force)being honorably discharged in 1946. Elmer was known as one of the best plasters in Montana, working with several construction companies in the Billings area. He was also know for growing great cantaloupe and made sure whoever wanted to try his cantaloupe you were given plenty throughout the summer season. He was a giving person and enjoyed sharing what he had grown in his garden. Elmer was ornery and loved to tease the people in his life he cared about. Elmer married Ann Nagel October 23, 1961 in Hot Springs, South Dakota, they were married 48 years at the time of Ann's death. He is survived by his children; Gayle (Steve) Deitsch, Joan Branstetter; Lee (Gina) Branstetter and Eden (Jose) Branstetter-Vanegas; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date
