Eldora Haney

Eldora Haney, 89, formerly of Frannie, Wyoming died Saturday February 11, 2012 in Billings. She was the oldest daughter of Frank and Maggie (Hutto) Madsen, born February 18, 1922 at her grandfather's ranch on Blue Water Creek, near Bridger. She moved with her fmaily to Frannie in 1928, where she lived the vast majority of her life. Eldora received schooling in the Deaver-Frannie school system graduating from High School in 1940. On October 7, 1942, Eldora married the love of her life, Orville Haney. As a young couple they ventured into the small businesses that a small town had to offer. They operated the cafe and for some time ran the Conoco Service Station. Eldora and Orville at one time owned and operated the bar in Frannie, Eldora retiring in 1983. They retired to the easy life, wintered in the south returning to Wyoming in the summer months; enjoying the best of both worlds. Eldora was the past Matron of Bethany Chapter #33, a member of Radiant Chapter #34 of Lovell and Alcyone CHapter #27 Order of Eastern Star. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Laurine Britton; nephews Orville (Norma) Britton, Don (Sherry) Britton, Ken(Jan) Britton, Bill Britton and David (Terry) Haney. A Memorial Service will be held celebrating both Eldora and Orville's lives 2:00pm Saturday February 25, 2012 at the Frannie Town Hall.
