Dorothy Jean Hanson

On April 8, 2014, Dorothy Jean Hanson passed away at the age of 88. Dorothy was born March 20, 1926 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Fira Henry and Zela Lillian (Lewis) Peters. Grandma Jean was the most strong, brave and amazing woman! A beautiful, classy woman that would brighten any room with her presence, and a sense of humor that was priceless. Dorothy had amazing gardens and would can her harvests yearly; her pickled beets and green beans were the best! She loved to play pinnacle and liked making cards and crafts,she made great bird houses for her feathered friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo, winning a lot. Every time Dorothy would win she would say, "I feel like I have won the lottery!" Dorothy loved her family more than anything in the world and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Tom and Steve Adams; daughter Sue Coburn; grandchildren Lynnette and David Adams, Gloria, Shana and Trisha Coburn and eight great-grandchildren.
