Donald Earl Eide

Don Eide, 87, formerly of Park City, died Saturday morning July 7, 2012 at Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center. Don was born in Forsyth May 28, 1925 where he attended school, graduating from High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army in WWII and Korea. Don married the love of his life, Lela Hershberger October 18, 1953 in Roberts and moved to Billings. They moved to Shelby and later to Havre as Don worked as a Montana Brand Inspector. In 1961, Don and Lee moved to Park City where they raised their family. Don went on to work as a clerk for the BUrlington Northern Railroad in 1966 until his retirement in 1990. Don loved cowboying and participated in rodeos until he was 65 years old. In Don's later years, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Left to cherish Don's memory is his wife of 58 years, Lee; children Joe (Almaz) Eide, Jenne Rogers, Mark Eide, Blaine Eide, Dallas Eide, Kirk Eide and Grace (Kekoa) Gabriel; a sister Kathleen Kiepe; brothers Karas Besanson and Ward Besanson; eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. A Celebration of Don's life will be held 2:00pm Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Park City Baptist Church with military honors to follow at the Park City Cemetery.
