Delmer Allen Yoder, 86, Our beloved Husband, Daddy, Papa, Brother, Uncle, & friend peacefully went
home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February. 25, 2026 with his family by his side.
Delmer was born on September 25, 1939 in Wolf Point, Montana to Ira Jacob and Marie (Hoar) Yoder.
He was the youngest of 6 children. They lived on the family farm until he was in the 4th grade. At that
time Grandpa built a house in Culbertson so he and his sister Darlene could go to school in town, but
they still continued to farm. He graduated in 1957 and went to Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri and later
Billings Business College.
He married his sweetheart, Ruth Weber on January 20, 1961 in Billings. They welcomed one
daughter who Delmer lovingly named Debbie Lynn.
Daddy worked at Pepsi and Burroughs Corporation. but his love for the outdoors called to him and after
hanging and servicing garage doors for about 8 years, he went to work for the United States Postal Service. He walked
roughly 12 miles a day delivering mail. A career he enjoyed for 26 years. But every summer his heart
called him back to the farm where he loved to get dirty while harvesting grain, driving truck, soaking in
the sunshine and admiring God’s beautiful creation.
Daddy loved Jesus deeply and always found a place to faithfully serve the Lord and others. He showed
other's Jesus every day, and many have shared with family how he impacted their lives with the love of God.
Del loved spending time with his grandchildren. They could always get him on the floor to play a
game or any other activity they came up with!
He will be missed but always loved by his precious wife, Ruth of 65 years his daughter Debbie Peterson
Proulx, 3 grandchildren: Annie (Kory) Harrell; Jesse Peterson, Heidi (Jeremiah) Harris and 5 great grands:
Victoria, Elizabeth, Warren, Taeven, and Rylie; 2 sisters: Ruth Howell and Darlene McCormick, and many
other wonderful family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Donald (Cora), Sisters Lucille (Albert) Janzen, Hazel
(John) Shank, brothers-in-law: Vern Howell and Gene McCormick, great grandbaby Jordan, niece Susan
Hanson & her granddaughter Savannah, and son-in-law Martin Peterson.
