David James Bernhardt

David passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013. He was born in Billings on September 23, 1958 and grew up in Laurel, graduating from Laurel High School in 1976. Dave was the middle child born to Jim and Marlene (Lenhardt) Bernhardt. Dave worked for the railroad until breaking his back in his younger years and maintained his passion for trains, traveling the country by them. He enjoyed riding his bike and couldn't wait to get back on one!. He loved being with friends, especially Kim and Cameron (and children). David has always been a free spirit and enjoyed the simpler things in life. He had an admiring zest for life and could always make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jake and Stephanie (Josh); granddaughter Ellianna; sisters Linda (Neal) Davis and Jayme Smith as well as his nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Gathering will be held 10:00am Friday January 11, 2013 at Remington Letcher Chapel
