Darin Dale Southworth was born on May 30, 1961, in Billings, to Mary and Joe Southworth. He was a third generation Montanan, and grew up in Laurel. He was the youngest of five children.Darin passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 25, 2016, and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.Darin married Jodi Southworth Nelson on Aug. 21, 1982. They had two sons together Brendon Dale Southworth, Tyler Duane Southworth and also added Shario and Damario Marshall to their family. They had numerous foster children that they cared for throughout their years of marriage. Darin worked at the Billings Grain Terminal for several years. He was employed at Billings Hardware at the time of his death. He enjoyed what he did and the people he worked with.Darin was an avid hunter, fisherman, rock hound, gardener, mechanic and car enthusiast. He was a jack of all trades and could turn nothing into something. He was also a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, but most importantly he was our Dad, our best friend. He was the kind of best friend that anyone could ever hope to have. Darin always had time for his grandkids whether they were two or four legged. He enjoyed each and every one of them and the time he spent with them. Kannon, Braelyn, Preston, Raziyah, Rocky, Hank and Max, you were all special in your own way to Grandpa Darin.Darin is survived by his father Joe Southworth; siblings Laura (Phil) Dietz, Tom Southworth, Valarie (Steven) Krum and Glen Southworth; children Brendon (Tonya) Southworth, Tyler (Brandi) Southworth, Shario Marshall and Damario (Hannah) Marshall; grandchildren Kannon, Braelyn, Preston, and Raziyah; granddogs Rocky, Hank and Max; several nieces, nephews and other family members.Darin is proceeded in death by his mother Mary Southworth and his beloved dog Buddy.A graveside memoiral service will be at 10 a.m., July 2, 2016 at Park City Cemetery. Following the service, a celebration of his life will be at 1434 McMullen Lane, Laurel, (Thiel Road to Lance Lane follow signs).
