Anna Gaub Obituary

Anna Marie Gaub, 98, of Laurel, died September 8, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Home in Billings. Anna was born July 4, 1917 to Tom and Mary Yankoff in Coalwood, Montana. She graduated from Custer County High School (Miles City) in 1937. She married Oswald Gaub on December 6, 1945 after Oswald returned from the war. They later moved to Laurel as Oswald worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad. Anna worked various jobs in retail throughout her life, and was very active in volunteer work at Community Hope and St. John's Lutheran Home ministries'. She was a lifetime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Laurel and a 50 plus year member of the V.F.W. auxiliary. Mom was a loving, caring person and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and working cross word puzzles as well as cooking for her family. Left to cherish her memory is her son Terry (Linda) Gaub; daughter Teresa Gremmer (Kenny Young); and several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Louie and Maxine and her son-in-law Bill Gremmer. A Celebration of Anna's life will be 11:00am Friday September 18, 2015 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Laurel. Memorial contributions may be made in Anna's name to Our Saviors's Lutheran Church.
