Allen, "Al" Gallagher, long time Lewistown resident, died April 19, 2016 at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. He was born July 28, 1938 to Wallace Albert and Lena Pearl (Harbst) Gallagher in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Following high school Al served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. During his years in the service Al owned and rode an Indian in-line four motorcycle and enjoyed many adventures. Later, AL married and the family moved to Lewistown where All managed several businesses and was well served by his master mechanical know-how! He also managed Central Montana Crematorium and was instrumental in design and marketing of the crematory. Later, the crematory licensed as a mortuary and operated in this capacity for a number of years. Al will be remembered as a friendly man, easy with a laugh and empathetic to all he served as manager at Central Montana Crematory .He loved his family, dogs and community. After he retired Al took up playing the pedal steel guitar for a while as he enjoyed country and western music. A celebration of Al's life is planned for June 18, 2016.
