Virginia Lee Burrow Hearron, 88, of Billings, passed away peacefully February 22, 2018. Virginia was born June 8, 1929, in Spiro, Oklahoma. At the age of seven she moved to California with her parents Wayne and Elsie Burrow. She and her three sisters attended grammar school in Buttonwillow. Riding the high school bus into Bakersfield every day was an arduous task, but she persevered and graduated from Kern County Union High School in 1947. During her senior year of high school and his first year of college, Virginia married returning World War II veteran Milam Hearron in Las Vegas on Nov. 2, 1946. They had four daughters: Pam, Carol, Rhonda, and Nancy. In 1965, the family moved to Billings when Milam was transferred while working for Union Oil Company. In 1971 Virginia began working at the Best Western Ponderosa Inn as a desk clerk, a position she thoroughly enjoyed. She gained many friends through her 15 years of work there. When Milam decided to open Hearron Title Insurance in Roundup, she moved with him and shared in the business responsibilities. After several years, they sold the business and moved back to Billings. Virginia retired but kept busy with family life and activities. She formed a Red Hatters group and enjoyed attending church, first at Westside Baptist and later the Emmanuel Baptist senior adult class. In recent years, she lived in The Springs Grand Park assisted living community where she was tenderly cared for by a loving and capable staff. Virginia is survived by her children Pamela Poynter of Houston, Tex.; Carol Hearron of Sidney, Mont.; Rhonda (Jim) Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Nancy (Curt) Scollard of San Antonio, Tex. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Sue Quary, and two sisters-in-law Jean Walker and Birdie Shuck and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Milam in February 2016. Funeral services are Monday, February 26 at The Rock Church, Laurel, Montana, 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Yellowstone National Cemetery.
