Kathie Jo Emmett

Kathie Jo Emmett, 67, of Columbus, left behind an aggressive battle with dementia,  peacefully entering the gates of heaven on Thursday June 6, 2019.  Kathie was born to Evelyn and Paul Ash on August 16, 1951 in Billings.  She celebrated thirty-five years of marriage with the love of her life, Dewey, and together they raised five sons, Nickolas, Clinton, Raymond, Jayson and Adam.  Kathie savored time with her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed time with her siblings, Lee Ash, Penny Wilson, Mickey Ash-Weiss and Frosty Ash.  Her home was never to small for any of her many friends, family, or strangers that wanted to drop by for a visit, a meal, or laughs.  Kathie shared her love for the outdoors with her family.  She never passed up the challenge to catch the biggest fish, tag the biggest buck, pick the right football team, or win the next hand of cards.  Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Dewey "Bud" Emmett, and sister-in-law, Cathy Ash.  Funeral Services will be held 10:00am Monday June 10, 2019 at the Columbus Evangelical Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Columbus.    Memorial contributions may be made in Kathie's name to the Columbus Community Foundation or a charity of your choice.  The Emmett family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Billings Clinic and Stillwater Hospice for their loving care of Kathie and support to her family.
