Cheryl Tryan Obituary

Cheryl Ann Mitchell, 68, of Billings, passed away April 5, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Dick and Virginia Mitchell on Sept 27, 1950, in Fargo ND but was raised in Laurel, graduating from Laurel High School in 1969. She married Daniel Tryan in 1970 and together, they raised their four daughters, mostly in the Park City area. Cheryl is survived by her siblings: Dennis Mitchell (Sharon) and Terri Miller and by her four daughters: Tina Tryan (Greg Stefanich) Tanya Martin, Steff Goldy (Wade Goldy) and Danica Marullo. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Austin, Dallas, Preston and Easton Martin, Tyler and Lindsey Hawkins, Maurissa and Marcus Gunn, Alexis and Rylan Goldy, Mikayla Model and Frankie Marullo, and her three great-grandchildren: Wilder Payne, Paisley Hawkins and Kooper Fergen. She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Mitchell, and her mother, Virginia Mitchell, brother Rick Mitchell and brother in-law, Mike Miller.

“Gramma” Cheryl loved everyone! Her four girls and later her grandkids were her entire life. Her daughters (and by extension, her grandkids too!) were always the best dressed in the place. She was a very proud mom who never missed a ball game, recital, track meet, pageant, rodeo or gymnastics meet. She would even go cheer on “her” cheerleaders! It didn’t matter that you couldn’t really hear her cheering (very soft-spoken) because she was always there and always smiling. You could also always count on her to never miss a birthday or a holiday. She sent cards to everyone to always let you know that she cared. She also adored all of her nieces and nephews. Cheryl leaves behind the legacy of a huge family who know love and kindness, because of her. She will be greatly missed but it makes us smile to know that she is reunited with her mother and best friend, Virginia, probably running errands and shopping. We love you!  Services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at The Rock Church, 820 W. 9th Street in Laurel at 11:00 am
